Samsung Galaxy S4 - A Techie's Key to Happiness

Though there was a huge hype surrounding Samsung's Galaxy S4's release, we didn't really register the device much as it seemed like a pimped out version of its predecessor the S3 to us. But even we couldn't help sitting up and taking notice when it crossed the 10 million mark within a month which was thrice as fast as its famous predecessor. Though most of the credit for this Android phone being so popular goes to the Samsung Galaxy S4 Contract, which makes the device a lot more affordable, it only feels fair to say that the phone might have some distinctive qualities if it managed to sway such a huge amount of support in such a short period.
So finally we decided to go ahead and get a hands-on experience to check whether this smartphone really lived up to its hype or not. When this handset was delivered on our doorstep, we weren't exactly thrilled after opening the box as it looked exactly like its predecessor except a negligent change in its frame. But looking at the plus points, the 5.0 inch Super AMOLED HD screen with 441 ppi has been fitted in the same frame, drastically reducing the bezel and stretching the frame all the way to the sides, making gaming and watching movies an experience you'll really wait for throughout the day. The front also comes fitted with a 2MP camera which allows video recording and dual-video calling which is pretty unique, whereas when you turn the phone over your gaze falls on a 13.0 megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash, which slightly protrudes out of the plastic back. The borderline of the frame has been fitted with a faux metal band, which makes the phone sturdier and enhances the feeling of richness in your hand.
By this time the screen and the camera quality had left us pretty impressed, and we moved our way further into the depths of the phone. Just for the sake of knowledge, let us tell you that this handset runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS which as most might know is the latest droid update available, and is powered by a 1.9 GHz Quad-core Qualcomm Krait 300 Snapdragon 600 processor with 2 GB of RAM and Adreno 320 GPU. These processing speeds are the fastest you'll find in any phone, and lets you make full use of your LTE services, but if you are not too keen on using the 4G services, then there is another non-LTE version available in the market which features a Exynos 5 Octa 5410 chipset, which is basically a combination of two 1.6 GHz Quad-core Cortex-A15 and 1.2 GHz Quad-core Cortex-A7 processors with PowerVR SGX 544MP3 GPU, all of which when combined, in layman terms means that, this is the most qualified piece of machinery you'll ever get.
After a long and rigorous use, in which we pushed the S4 to its limits, our final verdict is, "Using this handset will make you readily agree with its tagline which says the Galaxy S4 is a 'Life Companion'."
